Matched Pair - No Mask + The Keris

No Mask #052 and Keris #20 will come as a visually and sonically matched pair.

No Mask #52 comes with a NOS JAN2N652 germanium transistor in Q1, 2 x salvaged Raytheon 2N2222A in Q2 / Q3 and also contains the last of my Siemens cake-stack capacitors. Compared to the standard No Mask, this one has more of a mid-range bark, produces a rounder, smoother distortion and is generally less aggressive sounding throughout the gain range.

The Keris #20 is the standard, glorious, ice-shattering affair, but has a NOS metal-can LM741 at its heart.

Given the voicing of the No Mask, it is primed to be boosted into by a sharp, bright, gnarly drive pedal. Together, they sound like things going horribly wrong in the best possible way. They sound good by themselves as well.
